Bleaching
& Color Treatment: We color treat red flowers
to reduce the darkening that occurs in the drying process.
We also bleach white flowers, such as stephanotis and stock,
which have a tendency to turn brown. |
 |
Pre-treatment:
We use a non-toxic coating on each flower when dry,
they are less brittle than a typical dried flower.
|
 |
Preservation: Flowers are preserved using
the freeze-dry method. The basic principle of freeze-drying
is the removal of water from a specimen as water vapor by
means of a vacuum, and collection of this water vapor in a
condenser. With the specimen solidly frozen during the process,
shrinkage is eliminated or minimized, and near perfect preservation
will result. |
 |
Post-Preservation
Color Treatment: Once the flowers are preserved,
we apply a color enhancement, so that the original color lasts
longer. This process is especially beneficial for pink and
yellow flowers. |
 |
Stem
Reinforcement:
We wire and reinforce every bloom, as necessary. |
 |
Replacement
or Color Enhancement of Greenery: Most greenery continues
to deteriorate over time. Therefore, we color enhance or replace
with silk or chemically preserved greenery. |
 |
Embellishments:
We take your original ribbon and work it back into
your bouquet. We also work into the piece any pearls or other
additions that were part of your original bouquet. |
