A wedding gown is only worn for a day, and though it may not appear to be soiled, it still requires careful cleaning. Perspiration and body oils must be removed, as well as soil from hemlines of long gowns and trains and of course, those from food and beverages. These and other stains may not be immediately visible. They develop with age through the process of oxididation, resulting in discoloration and causing fabric weakness and other damages if left uncleaned.

Our preservation specialists carefully examine each garment upon receipt, inspecting for stains, tears, bead damage, yellowing and other details that will require special cleaning. Each gown then goes through a thorough and professional cleaning process tailored to the gown's specific needs. Only the safest, most delicate and effective methods known to the industry are used.

After the gown is professionally cleaned and reinspected, all other pieces requested by you (ie. veil, gloves, photos, invitations, etc.) are collected and placed along with the garment safely in an acid-free box with a clear viewing window. All articles are packed with acid-free tissue for extra protection.
